Jay Stanley
Jay W. Stanley, 55, of Crum, WV went home to the Lord on Thursday May 10th, 2012 at Fort Walton Beach Sacred Hospital due to heart complications. He is preceded in death by his father Ed Stanley and his sister Beverly June. He is survived by his children Adam Stanley (Natasha) of Crum, WV, Samantha Robertson (Jeff) of Greenville, KY. Eddie Stanley of Crum, and Joe Stanley also of Crum, WV, his mother Edna Stanley of Crum, siblings Don of Maryland, Kitty of Crum, Larry of Tampa Florida and Matt of Crum, WV. He is also survived by his grandchildren Damien, Sunserra, Quistis and Racyn. Special mention is needed for his nephews, who are his sons at heart, Roland Salmons of Greenville, KY and Tony Salmons of Milton, WV and Isaac Dillon. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be at the Church of Jesus Christ in Jennies Creek, WV Tuesday May 15th, 2012 at 5:00pm and funeral services will also be at the church on Wednesday May 16th, 2012 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Stanley Family Cemetery in Mud Lick, WV. Roger Justice will be officiating.
Paul Maynard
Paul Dorton Maynard Jr. 37 passed away on Friday May 11th, 2012 in Waverly, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Chester and Thelma Maynard. He is survived by his parents Paul and Drema Maynard and Margie Mussetter Huff, his loving girlfriend Rachel Ellen Skaggs, four children Mason, Devin, Joshua and Krisi Jo, six siblings Jonathan Burns of Waverly, Ohio, Paula Maynard of Tomahawk, Ky, Malissa Maynard of Ohio, Connie Sparks of Piketon, Ohio and Charlotte McCoy of Tomahawk, Ky and April Zurface of Ohio and one grandmother Jennie Mussetter of Jamestown, Ohio. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Inez on Tuesday night May 15th, 2012 at 6:00pm and funeral will be Wednesday May 16th at 3:00pm. Burial will follow.

George Farra
George W. Farra, age 66, died suddenly May 13, 2012 at his home in Westerville, Ohio. He retired from Willamette Industries in 2007, a Vietnam vet, and member of Genoa Baptist Church. He is the son of the late Joseph Farra and Lessie (New) of Lovely, Ky. Surviving family members are his wife, Lois (Stanley) Farra, son, Joseph Carl Farra (Kim)-Crystal Lake, Illinois, Daughters, Michelle Farra-Nance (Greg)-Delaware, Ohio, and Mysti Farra- Westerville, Ohio. He has five grandsons, Jonathan, Andrew, Rocco, Joey and Dominick. Preceded in death by eight brothers, Samuel Rufus, James Henry, Joseph, Jr., Willis Thornton, Roy Lee, Carl Duane, William Robert, Jackie Lynwood, and three sisters, Josephine, Mary Lou and Gloria Dale. He has many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law whom he loved very much. Funeral services will be at the Richmond-Callahan Chapel in Warfield, Kentucky. Viewing will be 11:00 am 1:00 pm, Funeral at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Burial will follow at the Perry Cemetary on Big Elk Creek Rd. in Beauty, KY. A memorial service will be planned at a later date in Columbus, OH.
Jack Rodney Zanders
Jack Rodney Zanders (Sam Pruitt), 59 of Crum, WV went to be with the lord on Tuesday May 8th 2012 at his home. He was born to the late Ethel Marie Pruitt Zanders on February 27th, 1953. He is preceded in death by his grandparents G.C. And Jessie Pruitt. Jack is survived by his loving wife Belinda Ann Zanders of Crum, WV, one son Samuel Scott (Brandy) Zanders of Crum, one daughter Delphia (Larry) Brumfield of Kermit, WV, three grandchildren Christopher, Cassie and Savanna Johnson. He is also survived by two sisters Sharon (Ballard) Moore of Inez, KY and Linda Pauley of Owensboro, KY, two nieces Reisa Dials of Inez, Ky and Janice Pauley of Owensboro, KY, one nephew Kevin Pauley of Owensboro, KY, cousin Neil (JoAnn & Ras) Hurley of Huntington, WV and several other family and friends.
Services will be held at the Perry Point Church in Jennies Creek, WV with visitation starting at 4:00pm on Thursday May 10th, 2012. Funeral will also be at the church at 1:00pm on Friday May 11th, 2012. Burial will follow at the Pruitt Family cemetery in Crum, WV. Luther Dingess will be officiating.

John Claude Bailey
John Claude Bailey, 62 went to be with the lord on Sunday May 6th 2012. Born on February 21st 1950 in Williamson, WV. He is survived by his wife Della (Crum) Bailey. He is also survived by his mother Betty Mae Ward of Kermit, WV, one brother Milton (Phyllis) Marcum of River, KY, two sisters Mary Ellen (Steve) Hatfield of Charleston, WV and Denise Cornette of Gainesville, FL. He also leaves behind mother in law Blanch Crum, sister in law Helen Ward, brother in law James (Connie) Crum and a very special great-nephew Jacob Lee Preston and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of Freewill Baptist Faith.
Services will be at the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church on Monday May 7th at 4:00pm until time of funeral on Wednesday May 9th at 1:00pm with Jerry Lee Ward officiating with full military honors by Belfry DAV. Burial will be at the Dallas Crum Family Cemetery.

Bentley and Braxton Mann of Crum, WV, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday May 2nd 2012 at ARH Hospital in South Williamson, KY. They were born to Rodger and Betty Mann of Crum WV. Visitation will be at the Richmond-Callaham Chapel in Warfield, KY on Saturday May 5th, 2012 at 11:00am-2:00pm, with the funeral at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at the family cemetery in Pilgrim, KY. They are survived by their parents, one brother Anthony Craig Mann of Crum, and their grandparents, Bruce Collins of Lenor, WV and Rodger and Kim Mann of Inez, KY. Ruby McGinnis
Ruby McGinnis, 61 of Debord KY passed away Tuesday May 1st 2012. Ruby was born on October 9th 1950 to the late Sterling and Violet Bowen. She was the wife of Gordon McGinnis. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Ockly Bowen. Ruby is survived by her husband, one son Gregory (Beth) McGinnis of Inez, two daughters Felicia (Tommy) Johnson of Inez, and Tonya Todd of Inez, eight brothers Nebert Bowen, Ray Bowen, Ronald Bowen, Roger Bowen, Cluster Bowen all of Inez, Ford Bowen of Columbus OH, Dennis Bowen of Alabama and Ralph Bowen also of Alabama., four sisters, Rosa May Spaulding of Inez, Mable Bowen of Inez, Kathy Patrick of Louisa, and Delpha Samson of North Carolina. Ruby is also survived by her five grandchildren, Ally McGinnis, Braxton Johnson, Justin Johnson, Kenneth Todd and Tyler Todd all of Inez, KY.
Visitation will be at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Inez Wednesday May 2nd 2012 7:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday May 3rd 2012 6:00pm-9:00pm. Azzie Howard
Azzie Howard, 89, born July 30th 1922 in Martin County to the late Will and Charity Jude, went to be with the lord on April 30th 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center. She is the wife of the late Clinton Howard who preceded her in death in January 1991.
Azzie is also preceded in death by one daughter Geneva Howard, four sons Garlin Howard, Andy Howard, Langley Howard and Clinton B. Howard, four brothers Sherm Jude, Jim Jude, Elmer Jude and Wig (Willie) Jude, one sister Virgie Jude Stacy, three grandchildren Teresa Howard, Tracy Howard, Trinton Howard.
She is survived by two daughters Eva Stacy and Edna Spaulding, three sons Calvin Howard, Milford Ed Howard and Bill H. Howard, one brother Andy (Ance) Jude and one sister Vinie (Calvin) Jude. Twenty five grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Leannah Old Regular Baptist church in Pilgrim, KY on Tuesday May 1st 2012 after 5:00pm and all day Wednesday May 2nd . Funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday May 3rd, 2012 at 1:00pm. Officiating services will be Elder Gabe Jr. Lowe, Elder Kenneth B. Jude and Brothers.

Tammy Bernice Bowen
Tammy Bernice Bowen went to be with the lord Sunday, April 29th2012. She was born September 24, 1968 in Williamson WV. She is the daughter of Mary Ellen Stacy and the late Floyd D. Richardson Sr. Tammy was preceded in death by her father. Tammy was survived by her mother Mary Ellen Stacy Richardson of Crum, WV, son Timothy James and Casie Richardson of Glen Hayes, WV and daughter Mary Ellen Bowen of Glen Hayes, WV, one grandson Dawson James Richardson. Tammy is also survived by three brothers Floyd Richardson Jr. of Cotton Hill WV, Floyd Edward Richardson of Crum WV, and James & (Marsha) Richardson of Louisa KY, two sisters Lolita Maynard of Crum WV and Rita Hampton of Crum WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Riverbend Freewill Baptist Church at Crum WV, Wednesday night May 2nd 2012 at 4:00pm for family and 5:00pm until close for friends. Funeral will also be held at the Riverbend Freewill Baptist Church at Crum, WV on Thursday May 3rd, 2012 at 1:00.

Doris Jean Pope
Doris (Jean) Pope 66, of Inez, Ky; went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Ashland Community Hospice House in Ashland, KY. She was born on May 17, 1945 in Martin Co., KY; she was a daughter of the late Marion Stepp Jr. and Lorna Stepp Preece. She was retired from Martin Co. Coal and Addington Coal Corporation. She was also a homemaker and a member of the Inez Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children; Geneva Slone of Inez,Ky, James Edward (ED) Slone of Arlington, VA, Shari Marcum of Wayne Co., WV, and John Pope of Shephardsville, KY., as well as 12 grandchildren; Michael Marcum, Jamie Moore, Chris Moore Horn, Marrissa Patton, Terri Thompson, James Slone Jr., Todd Marcum, Kelly Marcum, Faith Pope, Luke Pope, Jack Pope, and Justin Chapman as well as 10 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Ruth Endicott of Inez, KY and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 11:00am at the Inez Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Richard (Bubby) Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Stepp Family Cemetery of Inez,KY. Visitation will be after 6pm Saturday at the Church with services at 7pm with Terry Howell officiating.
Stephanie Blackburn Farnham
Stephanie Blackburn Farnham, 38, of Tomahawk, KY passed away April 20, 2012 at her residence.
Born Oct. 6, 1974 in Ashland, KY, She was the daughter of Sharlene Ray Blackburn of Tomahawk, KY and the late Burgess Blackburn.
Stephanie is also survived by her husband, Donald Farnham of Tomahawk, KY; her three children, Shelby R. Morton, Ava Farnham, and Donald Asa Farnham all of Tomahawk, KY; half-brother, Timothy [Amanda] Blackburn of Louisa; nieces, Lila Blackburn and Jessica Ray Farnham; nephew, Jarred Farnham; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 22, 2012, 2:00 PM in the chapel of Richmond-Callaham Funeral, Inez, KY, with Reverend Jack Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Tomahawk, KY.

Okey Ward 67 of Warfield, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 19, 2012 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1945 in Martin Co., KY; he was a son of the late Albert and Rebecca Maynard Ward. He was preceded in death by brothers; Whilley Ward and Lawrence Ward.
He is survived by his sister; Margarett Stanley of Groveport, OH as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Tri-State area.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 12:00pm at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez Chapel with Ellis Maynard and Thomas Jude officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery of Inez, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00am-12:00pm at the funeral home.
Henry Bowen
Henry Bowen 72 of Inez, Ky went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 28, 1939 in Martin Co., KY; he was a son of the the late Curt and Lydia Johnson Bowen. Henry worked at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home since he was 15 years old. He was a dedicated grave digger as long as his health permitted him to do so. After that he lived at the funeral home as a night watchman and mowed grass for the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his brother, June Bowen and sister, Edith Bowen
His funeral home family is Kelly and Sara Callaham, Frank Stacy, Joe Mullins, and Ronnie Mathis. He is survived by his children; Ricky (Rebecca)Bowen of Harrisville, WV, Tina (Jimmy) Litton of Tomahawk, Steven Bowen of Tomahawk, and Sylvia (Curt) Mollett of Tomahawk, KY. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Bernard Bowen, Ricky Bowen, Angel Bowen, Cheyenne Bowen, Frank Curtis Litton, Tina Nichole Litton, Henry Anthony Litton, Goldie Litton, Austin Litton, Destiny Bowen, Shane Mollett, Natashia Mollet, and Isaiah Mollett; great-grandchildren; Shay Bowen, Curtis Taylor Litton, and Mia Vanessa Litton. He helped raise John D., Kelly, Joan, and Russ Callaham. He is survived by his brothers; Cab Bowen of Columbus, OH, Ed Bowen of Inez, Ky, Urshel Bowen of Inez, Ky, and sister, Ursie Chaffins of Inez, Ky.
As well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and numerous friends.

Dorthy Jean Porter 67, Of Debord, KY passed away Saturday April 14th at her home.
Born June 28th 1944 in Martin County KY. To the late Elizabeth (Mullins) Nichols and Charles Nichols.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Mullins; three sisters, Louise Ann Nichols and Betty Vermillion and Lois ann Nichols and two brothers, Gary and Jimmy Nichols.
Survivors include her husband Harold (Punk) Porter of Debord one son Michael T Cooper of Debord, two stepdaughters Teresa Blackburn of Debord and Sandra Wilson of Kermit, six sisters Judy Nichols of Lovely, Annette Maynard of Louisa, Tammy Owens of Tennessee, Diana Gilman of Delbarton, WV Darlene Justice of Varney, WV and Brenda Starr of Tennessee, four brothers Larry Nichols of Inez, Ronnie Nichols of Columbus OH, Charles Nichols of Columbus OH and Ricky Nichols of Lenore WV. and six grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 1:00pm at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY with Larry Goble and Clyde Waller officiating. Dollie Mills
Dollie Mills, age 90, of Inez, KY entered into eternal peace with her Savior on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa,KY, surrounded by family. Born December 30, 1921 in Martin County, KY, to the late George and Pearl Horn Jarrell, Dollie was a homemaker who invested her life in the love and care of her family. She loved children, and was blessed with a large family that gave her much joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mills as well as children, Jewel Horn, Bonnie (Ed) Marcum, Nadine Mills and Elmer Mills, brothers, Sam Jarrell, Wilburn Jarrell, Burgess Jarrell, and Willis Jarrell as well as her brother-in-laws, Homer Mills and Randall Mills and 2 grandchildren.
Dollie is survived by her children; Lonnie Burgess (Marcia) Mills of Inez, KY, Clyde (Linda) Mills of Inez, KY, James Franklin (Gay Lynn) Mills of Tadpole, KY, Kathaleen (Kirl C.) Fitch of Inez, KY, Geraldine (Burl) Spurlock of Delaware, OH, Patty (late Gordan) Maynard, Inez, KY, as well as her beloved 23 grandchildren, treasured 44 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, Son-in-laws, Edzal Horn of Inez, KY, Sisters, Verla Mills of Inez, Ky and Catherine Mills of Offit, KY. Dollie was a special soul who was full of life, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed and held dear in our hearts and memories forever.

Joshua Brandon Stafford
Joshua Brandon Stafford, born December 4, 1986 to parents Kenneth and Geneva Stafford, went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 7, 2012 at Williamson ARH Hospital. He resided at Lovely, KY. Josh is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles and Nancy Stafford, uncle Carl David Stafford, aunt Dolly Hamilton, and aunt Judy Stanley. In addition to his parents, Kenneth and Geneva [Webb] Stafford, he is survived by his sister, Nikki [Daniel] Williamson, one very special nephew, Brandon Williamson, maternal grandparents, Glen and Helen Webb, uncles Charles [Carolyn] Stafford, Manuel [Rita} Stafford, Samuel [Melissa] Stafford, aunt Connie Webb Muncy, and Connie Stafford and families. He was a member of KODA [Kentucky Organ Donor Association]. He left this world at an early age, but through KODA, he has helped so many others live.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the Warfield Chapel of Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, with Rev. Ellis Maynard, Rev. Dennis Hatfield and Thomas Jude, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery.

Glen Thomas "Buster" Moore
Glen Thomas Buster Moore, 75, of Beauty, KY passed away April 7, 2012.
Born April 20, 1936, in Mingo County, WV, he was the son of the late Mae Parsley.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Moore and his brother, Paul Parsley.
Buster was a U S Army veteran and retired from Wolf Creek Colleries.
He is survived by a stepchildren, James Preece of Beauty, KY, Tyson Preece of Dunlow, WV, and Linda [Carter] Messer of Bidwell, OH; half-brothers, Johnny Parsley of Warfield, KY and Johnny Parsley of Warfield, KY; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

DALLAS BRENT HYDEN, 86, OF STEPPTOWN, PASSED FROM THIS LIFE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 23, 2012. BORN JANUARY 26, 1926, IN HARTFORD, WV, HE WAS THE ONLY CHILD OF THE REV. L.J. AND CYNTHIA SHAVER HYDEN, WHO PROCEDED HIM IN DEATH. HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED BY HIS BELOVED WIFE, CHARLENE ASBURY HYDEN AND A HOST OF UNCLES, AUNTS, COUSINS, NIECES, NEPHEWS AND FRIENDS.
HE WAS A GRADUATE OF MONTGOMERY HIGH SCHOOL AND ATTENDED WEST VIRGINIA TECH. HE SERVED IN THE 65TH DIVISION OF GEN. PATTON'S 3RD ARMY IN THE EUROPEAN THEATRE DURING WORLD WAR II.
MR. HYDEN WORKED MANY YEARS FOR THE WESTERN AUTO COMPANY INSTALLING NEW FRANCHISE OUTLETS THROUGHOUT THE NORTHEASTERN AND SOUTHERN STATES. HE WAS KNOWN FOR HIS METICULOUSNESS. HE WAS ALSO A FORMER MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE KERMIT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OF THE STEPPTOWN IMPROVEMENT GROUP.
HE IS SURVIVED BY A DAUGHTER, PEGGY MEADOWS, OF STOWE, OH, AND A SON, DAVID HYDEN, OF LAKE WALES, FL. ALSO LEFT TO MOURN AND CELEBRATE HIS LIFE ARE THREE STEP-CHILDREN, CONNIE EVANS, JACALYN SPAULDING AND BILL MARCUM, ALL OF STEPPTOWN. Clyde Perry 76 of Tomahawk, KY passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY. He was born on July 5, 1935 in Martin County, KY; he was a son of the late George W. and Mary Mollette Perry. He was preceded in death by his wife; Arizona Perry. Clyde was a retired coal miner.
He is survived by his children; Clyde Perry Jr. of Tomahawk, KY, Verla Rizner of Louisa, KY and Mary Jane Nichols of Hazard, KY and 11 grandchildren. Clyde also leaves behind his siblings; George Perry Jr., Wid Perry, Michael Perry, Pheobe Perry and Addie Perry.

Curtis Gregory Johnson, 51 of Lovely, KY; passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born on April 14, 1960 in Martin County, KY; he was a son of the late Curtis Hoover Johnson and Beulah Mae Webb. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Stransky and sister, Dreama Johnson.
Greg is survived by his sons; Curtis Gregory Johnson Jr. and Joseph Cory Johnson both of Pilgrim, KY and half-brother, Larry Johnson of Inez, KY. He also leaves behind his 1 grandchild and companion, Alice Patton of Lovely, KY.

Paul Ruble Jr.
Paul Ruble Jr. 63 of Greensboro, NC formerly of Naugatuck, WV; passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Greenhaven Healthcare Facility in Greensboro, NC. He was born on February 25, 1949 in Paintsville, KY; he was a son of the late Paul and Marcella Charlotte Maggard Ruble. He grew up at the Mount of Seneca, WV and attended school at Circleville, WV where he graduated. Paul Jr. has moved and traveled all of the world while serving in the US Air Force for seventeen years.
Paul is survived by his children; Anna Thiel of Orlando, FL, Nicholas Ruble of Anchorage, Alaska, Paul Ruble III of Wasilla, Alaska and five grandchildren.

Hazel Darlene Samples Marcum
Hazel Darlene Samples Marcum 58 of Marrowbone, WV; went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012 at St. Marys' Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born on March 24, 1953 in Columbus, OH; she was a daughter of the late Doc and Maxine Samples. She was a homemaker and a member of the Neely Branch United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Samples.
Hazel is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bodie Marcum as well as daughter, Jeanna Dawn (Greg) Hatfield and two beautiful grandchildren, Kailey and Luke Hatfield. She is also survived by her brothers; Ben (Judy) Samples and Kenny (Judy) Samples of Westerville, OH, Leonard (Carol) Sample of Harrisburg, OH, and sisters, Wanda Humker of Columbus, OH and twin sister, Jerline Kauderer of Mason, OH. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene was loved by so many more family members and friends. She enjoyed life everyday and always had a smile on her face and a hug for all.

Linda Sue Conrad 63 of Lovely, KY; passed away on March 7, 2012 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was a daughter of the late James L. and Martha Jo Moore Bailey. She was a retired teller from the Inez Deposit Bank and a member of the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Conrad Lynn and grandchild, Heather Lynn.
Sue is survived by her husband, David Conrad of Lovely, KY as well as son, Steven (Tammy Whitt) Conrad of Staffordsville, Ky, grandchild, Kaylee Conrad of Staffordsville, KY, brother, Joey (Joe) Bailey of Florence, KY, sister, Sharon Jordan of Lovely, KY, Nephew, Johnny McCoy of Inez, KY, and niece, Vanessa Bailey Meade of Paintsville, Ky and mother-in-law, Opal Conrad of Geargia as well as several nieces and nephews. John Jr. Johnson 57, of Inez, Ky passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at his home in Inez, KY. He was born on April 12, 1954 in Martin County, KY; he was a son of the late Edgar and Virginia Spence Johnson. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Johnson.
John is survived by his fiance, Deborah Lafferty Preece of Inez, KY as well as his three children, Johnathan Johnson of Inez, Ky, Jessica Jude of Inez, KY and Kasey Chapman of Inez, KY as well as seven grandchildren, Erica Chapman, Colten New, Remington Marcum, Jess Lynn Jude, Zack Jude, Tyler Jude, and Rylee Jude. He is also survived by three sisters, Carmen Harless of Inez, KY, Ruth Crum of Paintsville, KY and Linda Blevins of Inez, KY and four brothers, Alvin Johnson of Louisa, KY, Cainie Johnson of Marysville, OH, Ronnie Johnson and Edgar Johnson Both of Vinton, OH. John was disabled at the time of his death. He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.

William Albert (Abe) Hinkle, 79, born April 21, 1932 in Martin Co., KY., passed away at his home, Thursday, March 1, 2012. Born to the late Jim and Virgie Horn Hinkle. Abe was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Stephen James Hinkle. Also preceded by his brothers, Hurley, Clifford, Raymond, Lonnie, and Luther Hinkle. And preceded by his three sisters, Birdie Smith, Vivian Bowen and Aileen Hinkle. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Hobbs Hinkle of Inez, KY. He is also survived by his daughter, Linda (Raymond) Sumpter, Inez, and his son, James (Rhonda) Hinkle of Georgetown, KY., and survived by one granddaughter, Ashley (Andrew) Jones, of Louisville, KY, and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Jones, of Louisville, KY. Also survived by four sisters, Betty Hinkle, Inez, Irma Maynard, Inez, Geneva Carroll, Inez, and Emma (Ed) Carroll, Hillard, OH. Also survived by one brother, Howard (Dick) Hinkle, Inez.

Fred Osendott Jr., 91 of Inez, KY died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, KY.
Born Feb. 22, 1921 in Logan Co., WV, he was a son of the late Fred Sr. and Mary Chapman Osendott.
Fred was a well known mechanic in Martin County. He was also a U. S. Army veteran serving in World War ll.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis K. Osendott and his sisters, Mildred Marcum, Fay Salmons, and Joan Brewer.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Osendott of Inez; two sons, Billy Osendott of Inez, and Kenny Osendott of Milton, FL.; one daughter, Lisa [Teddy] Paynter of Inez, ; one grandson, William Osendott of Inez; two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Alyssa Osendott and Layne Alexander Osendott; three brothers, Gene Osendott of Florida, Thurman Buddy Osendott of Auburn, WA, and Jackie Osendott of Columbus, OH; and one sister, Patricia Bolar of Columbus, OH.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday., March 5, 2012 at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield, KY, with Lonnie Smith and Danny Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Osendott Family Cemetery, Inez, KY.

Lucille Howard Whisman 79, of Dayton, Ohio formerly of Martin County, KY; passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Miami Valley Medical Center in Dayton, OH. She was born on July 18, 1932 in Davella, KY; she was a daughter of the late John Albert and Josie Blackburn Howard. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chester Howard and sisters, Garnett and Irene. She was a worker of the A.O. Smith Corporation and had worked in Whitecastle Corporation. Lucille will be remembered as a voice of concern and love, always ready to cook a meal, listen, or go shopping with anyone. She will be forever loved and missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert R. Whisman of Dayton, OH as well as her 3 daughters, Linda Bachand and Brenda Ortez both of Dayton, OH and Tammy Wolf of Newport Richey, Florida, step daughter; Sherri Maleki of Cary, NC and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Helen Meade and Albert and Elizabeth Williams.
He is survived, in addition to his parents, by his wife of 14 years, Lisa Williams of Marrowbone, WV; 3 daughters, Elizabeth, Sierra and Tierra Williams all of Marrowbone, WV; 1 son, Mason Preece of Dunlow, WV; 1 sister, Kim Williams Stacy of Wayne, WV; 1 brother-in-law, Jimmy Dale Marcum, of Lovely, KY; 2 step-brothers; 2 step-sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Georgia Hinkle 68 of Columbus, OH passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born on January 25, 1944 in Martin County, KY; she was a daugter of the late Tive and Tennessee Crum Hinkle. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman and Nelson Hinkle; sisters, Opal Boggs, Betty Joe Waller, and Margie Whitaker. Georgia worked at Whitecastle's in Ohio and retired from Meijer's Department Stores.
She is survived by her sisters; Ellen Hinkle, Ada Sluss, and Oma Whiting of Columbus, OH; Helen Don Stage of Mt. Sterling, OH; Maggia Hinkle of Beauty, KY and one brother, James Franklin Hinkle of Inez, KY.

He had a happy childhood being raised in Kermit, WV and moved to the Columbus area after serving 7 years in the United States Army. His parents were Roby and Maudie Morgan of Man, who preceded him in death.Jimmy is survived by wife of sixty years, Cordia, and four children, Carol (James) Tackett of White House, KY., Bruce (Kim) Morgan of Lovely, KY., Robert (Maggie) Morgan of Naugatuck, WV., and David (Stephanie) Morgan of Hurricane, WV. He is also survived nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Jimmy was preceded in death by four brothers William, Raymond, Ronald, and Lewis Morgan. He is survived by three sisters, Janice Gillenwater, Nadine Meeker, and Freda (William) Mattingly, and two brothers, Garner (Wanda) Morgan and Michael (Judy) Morgan.
Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Pittston Coal Company.
Funeral services are being conducted by Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home and visitation will be at the Warfield Chapel from 6:00-9:00 p.m on Friday, February 17th. The funeral will be held at the Warfield Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens at Maher.

Charles Edward Marcum
Charles Edward Marcum, 72, of Kermit, WV went home to be with the Lord Feb. 9 2012.
Born June 22, 1939 in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Eda Parsley and James Harlen Marcum.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Laura Bell Marcum, Maxine Sterner, Nancy Krohn, and Bertha Salmons, and brothers, Kim , Homer , Franklin D., Robert Lee, Johnny, and Herman Marcum.
He is survived by brothers, Emory Marcum and James Marcum both of Ft. Gay, WV, and Therman Marcum of Kermit, WV;; his sister, Dixie Marcum of Chesapeake, Ohio; a special niece, Eda Harper of Ft. Gay, WV ; a lifelong friend, Gene Parsley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends;
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, with Noah Robertson officiating. Warfield, KY. Burial will follow in the Mudlick Cemetery, Jennies Creek, WV.

Sheffy Morley Hager
SHeffy Morley Hager 66, of Inez, KY passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at her home. She was born on October 15, 1945 in Clearwater, WV; she was a daughter of the late William and Ina Steele Morley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Morley and sisters, Ruby Ramos and Evyonne Sanders Sailor. She was a homemaker and had moved here from Belfry, KY.
Sheffy is survived by her sons, James S. Hager of Inez, Ky and Ira Shane Hager of Inez, KY and daughter, Selena Kinney of Nicholasville, KY as well as grandchildren, Morgan, Sailar, Ethan, and Emily. She also leaves behind her brother, Roger Morley of Michigan an dsisters, Cora McCoy of Houstonville, KY and Donna Jacodson of Michigan.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00am at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez Chapel with Pastor Bill Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Hager Cemetery of Inez, KY. Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Elder Henry "Jake" Crum
Elder Henry Jake Crum 86 of Van Lear, KY; went to be with his Lord on April 14, 2012 at a result of an accident. He waspreceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Pansy Crum.
He was born on February 5, 1926 in Martin County, KY; he was a son of the late William Jackson and Roxann Mollette Crum.
He was a retired pipe-fitter at US Steel in Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling. He was a dedicated Christian for 60 years and a member of the Middlefork United Baptist Church of Inez, KY.
Jake is survived by his loving wife; Mildred Hale Crum of Van Lear, KY as well as a son, Tim (Patty) Crum of Wyandotte, Michigan and daughter, Marietta Crum Cook of Inez, KY, 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jake is also survived by 5 step-children. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Middlefork United Baptist Church with church ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery of Crum Branch. Visitation will be after 5pm Monday and Tuesday at the Church. Donald Ray Setser
Donald Ray Setser 48 of Rockhouse Mills Road, Tomahawk, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on March 20, 1964 in Tomahawk, KY; he was a son of Clarence and Anna Hall Setser of Tomahawk, KY. He was a Dozer operator and a faithful member and choir leader of the Phillip Cove Freewill Baptist Church.
Donald is survived by his wife; Tina Damron Setser of Tomahawk, KY, son, Donald Matthew Setser of Charleston, SC, 1 grandson, Brothers, Clarence Jr. and James Everett Setser of Tomahawk, KY as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Phillip Cove Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Thomas Stacy Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Setser Family Cemetery of Rockhouse Road, Tomahawk, KY. Visitation will be after 5pm on Thursday at the church.
